From knowing the Word to living it
Perhaps you have been to Bible studies that filled your head but left your week unchanged, and over time they grew dry. Jesus calls His followers to more: to be catechized in the faith, to take up their cross, and to walk in the life of His Kingdom. At The Miz, our family teams make sure Kingdom Life Groups happen: small communities where we open the Scriptures, pray, share life and practise what we learn, together.
WHY WE GATHER
An embassy of heaven on earth
The Church is the expression of God’s Kingdom come on earth, an embassy of heaven where the life and rule of the King are made visible. Every follower of Jesus is sent as His ambassador into a home, a workplace and a neighbourhood, and an embassy trains its ambassadors. That is the purpose of our Kingdom Life Groups: to form people whose right belief (orthodoxy) becomes right living (orthopraxy), as we pray and live “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

Our groups follow the pattern of the first church in Jerusalem: the Word, fellowship, the table and prayer.
THE RHYTHM OF A GROUP
From orthodoxy to orthopraxy
Every Kingdom Life Group walks one path: we are catechized in the faith, we take up our cross, and we walk in the life of the Kingdom. Four practices keep us on that path.
Word. We read a passage of Scripture together and listen for what God is saying.
Prayer. We pray for one another, for our families and for our city, and make space for the Holy Spirit to speak and to heal.
Life. We share meals, joys and burdens, so no one carries life alone.
Practice. We leave with one clear step of obedience for the week, and we serve together through our family team.

Find your group
Our family teams make sure Kingdom Life Groups happen. Each team serves in one area of ministry and gathers a Kingdom Life Group around it, where people study the Scriptures, pray and grow together. Every group is hosted by its family team and overseen by elders from the Bishop’s Council.
