Why doctrine matters
The Scriptures call every follower of Christ to hold life and doctrine together. To that end, the following premises guide our community in the formulation of our core theological understanding.

The premises that guide us
01 The authority of Scripture
The primacy and authority of the Bible for life and doctrine.
02 Salvation by grace
The truth that salvation is, in the final analysis, the gift of God and by grace alone.
03 The Apostolic Tradition and the Creeds
The Tradition of the Apostles and the doctrinal guidance of the Creeds: the Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed and the Athanasian Creed (Quicunque Vult).
04 The two Gospel Sacraments
Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, as instituted by Christ for regular use in the Church.
05 Liturgy faithful to Scripture
The use of liturgy which is faithful to Scripture and embodies the experience of the Church in worship over the centuries.

06 The priesthood of all believers
The priesthood of all believers as a missional, worshipping and praying society.

07 The threefold ministry
The threefold ministry of bishop, presbyter (priest) and deacon, as that ministry which God has led the Church to adopt from Apostolic times.
08 The unity of the Church
The recognition that the visible unity of the Church on earth is God's will.
